The weekend following Thanksgiving 🦃 has become one of my favorites on Long Beach Island. Especially at the north end in Barnegat Light.
Saturday 11/29th is known as Small Business Saturday. Viking Village at 19th & Bayview, hosts an Arts & Crafts Show 10am – 4:30pm. Admission is free and there can be up to 70 vendors of Fine Arts, Photography, Ceramics, Wood Crafts, Clothing, Handmade Jewelry and more. Off The Hook is open offering lunch options and of course How you Brewin with coffee and baked goods. Santa’s arrival via fire truck at 1pm is always a highlight.

Many local shops along Broadway are open and offering special Black Friday Deals. Skip the hustle of big box stores and stop by Twig Nest & Bloom, Wildflowers, Kitty Hawk Kites and Yaatree Bazaar. Support local🥰.
A must stop is at LBIF Galleries in Loveladies. They host a Holiday Market November 15th thru December 14th offering fabulous one of a kind gifts by local artists. Small Business Saturday hours are 10am-4pm adding special vendors, festive treats and a Santa Photo Booth. 🎅🏻🤶🏻. Grab a cup of hot coco and wander through the gallery in an extremely festive atmosphere.

I’m usually tired after just shopping the north end of LBI but if you head south on the island, you will find more of the same in many towns. Lots of Shop Local activities and gift finds.
Black Friday weekend is definitely more relaxing on LBI. The Sand Castle Bed & Breakfast is open for over night accommodations if looking for a get away. Several of our rooms have fire places and/or spa tubs. The perfect way to relax after enjoying a festive day of shopping.
