It’s Almost Time for Chowderfest

Long Beach Island’s premiere event is just around the
corner!  Clamiccon, the 26th annual
Chowderfest will bring unlimited chowder tasting (with the opportunity for each
ticket holder to vote for their favorite red and white chowder), live music, entertainment,
and a food court.
The festival will be held come rain or shine at the Taylor
Avenue ball field, Ninth Street and Taylor Avenue in Beach Haven (across from
Schooner’s Wharf and Bay Village), from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 5,  2014.
Chowderfest is held each year the weekend before Columbus
Day Weekend. This year on Saturday, October 4th there will be Merchant
Mart, with free admission, where local vendors will offer the best deals of the
season. Sunday, October 5th will be the much awaited Chowder Cook Off Classic.
Tickets to the Chowder Cook-Off Classic are now for sale online or at
the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce Info Center at 265 West 9th
Street in Ship Bottom. Tickets are $20 for general admission, $10 for children
(ages 4-12) and $50 for VIPs (which includes a T-shirt and exclusive early
admission at 10 am).
